Hello all,
I have a post ban Maadi MISR AK. I picked it up used and it has a Dragunov style stock on it now. Can I replace it with a pistol grip stock if I use one of the US made stock kits? Any info on this would be great.
Thanks,
Jason

Yes you can, but you'll probably also have to go with a US fire control kit, too.

Kvar sells both and they are nice.

With a Maadi AK, an FCG from Red Star Arms will be a big improvement. There are a couple AK clones that have the receiver cut so a pistol grip can't be installed. I don't believe a Maadi is one of them, but you might want to check it before you spend any money.

If you put a pistol grip on your rifle you will need to add 5 US mfg. parts to be legal. A US mfg. stock set only counts as 3 parts as the upper and lower handguards count as one part. So you will need 2 more US mfg. parts to be legal.
