Gang,

EAA sales/marketing director Marc Galli sent me some pictures he took of the new model P-Carry with rail. This one happens to be a 10mm. They are just starting to come in and this particular one is being used to for the 2006 catalog shoot. It would make a neat CCW 10mm being relatively small and light weight. Plans are to import them only in 45 and 10mm. Ammo capacity is 15 rounds in 10mm, 10 rounds in 45. I thought the 10mm fans amongst us would appreciate the sneak preview.

That is nice!

Sweet sister Sadie! That IS nice! Keep it up, and I'll consider buying one for Shelley (my wife!) While I personally prefer the 10mm, the .45 ACP version tends to lose less velocity in the shorter barrels. I would, however, like to add a 10mm version to my growing collection.

Very interesting. The pistol has sort of a futuristic look to it. Thanks for the information and photos.

That is correct. Essentially their answer to the Commander configuration in the 1911. Personally I have never been fond of compact frames due to their short grip length, so I generally like to have a full size frame and compact slide combination. This gun also adds the rail and Novak-ish sights over the previous model.

I wondered why CDNN was liquidating an enormous amount of the polymer EAA guns. Somebody's making room for the new models I suppose.

looks cool, but I would much rather have a compact frame than a compact slide/barrel, especially if it is chambered in 10mm.

If EAA could get their heads out of their butts long enough to fire their customer service dept and replace them with well trained monkeys, I too may consider one of those.;)

CDNN was apparently moving some existing inventory they had for a while. Not sure why really. I am told those 9mm and 40 small-frame magazine guns were long ago sold out at EAA. The 10mm and 45s that CDNN had were inventory being moved to clear room for the new polymers with rail.

Actually, I'm only loosing 64 FPS avg. from my 5" 10mm's to my 3.5" Witness
compact (1406, 1342 respectively). I use Remington nickel brass, 180 gr. Gold sabres, CCI 350 Primers and IMR 800x for my SD loads.

The P-carry has a slightly longer barrel than the compact (3.75", I believe), so I would imagine my loads should do right about 1350-1360 in the P-carry.
