Oh and I took the hammer off the lock and put it in a vice with leather wrapped around the part that was in the jaws of the vice rather than clamping the whole lock in there. The leather burned a little, made an awful smell like nothing I've been smelled before but I didn't want to hurt my lock parts putting them in the vice. All and all I consider this a success
