That little 70-series (Jaguar?) is very cute, what caliber is it? For all of these did you thread original barrels or purchase threaded ones? Cheers, Matthew

It's a model 71, .22 LR. One of the ones that was imported with the faux can and die threaded 1/2-20 on the barrel. I turn them down and thread them 3/8-24, then make an adapter

All of these were factory barrels, as are the rest of my pistol hosts. Even when available, I'm too cheap to buy threaded barrels when I can make adapters for pretty much anything! As you can see above, the 81BB I chose to thread internally, since it's a nearly flush barrel and there was plenty of meat being .32 cal. Most of the time, though, it's very fine external threads (32, 36, 40 pitch) on the barrel, and the adapter is semi-permanent, required to shoot whether suppressed or not.

.578-28 on an RP45 and 1/2-28 on an RP-9:

Could be quite tempted to get a threaded barrel for my Model 70S!

That is a beauty! I'm always looking for a clean S model, let me know if you decide to sell!

Here are some pics of my newly-purchased Beretta Model 81 .32 ACP, the first pistol I have ever personally owned. It's an Italian police trade in and seems to have been carried some and shot hardly at all. There is some holster wear on the left side of the gun, particularly the grip screws, but it's in great shape. I spent some time cleaning it up (pic on paper towel is "before" and the rest are "after") but it was really just internal dust and crud, nothing more.

All told it cost me a about $255 including the base price, hand select charge and shipping. Factor in the the transfer fee, namecheck fee, pistol case, cleaning kit, holster, and 100 rounds of Fiocchi 73 grain ball ammo (Italian, of course) and I am still under $400 all in. I hope to get to the range this weekend, and I suspect I am going to need a lot more ammo.... ;-)

All the Fiocchi Ammo I seem to get is made in Arkansas.

In the past 3 months I have purchased a LNIB 81FS and new wide slide 3032 to go along with a 85FS I've had for about 15 years. The 80 series to me are works of art.
