Last Thursday I picked up the BHP Practical I'd had on layaway.
It's the one with a silver/gray frame and black slide. It has the ring hammer, fixed sights and black Pachmayr grips. I looked at some other BHPs but didn't like the adjustable sights and the spur hammer.
In the deal I got a Browning holster and three 13 round BHP mags. They are stamped "Italy" so I presume they're Mec Gars.
I've had a BHP made by FM in Argentina for almost 10 years, but wanted a fancier gun. I got one. The Practical is a much more polished pistol than the FM. At the moment the FM has a better trigger, but that will change pretty soon.
I haven't had a chance to shoot the new BHP yet, due to days of rain, cold temps, and occasional snow flurries. (Spring in Michigan's U.P. isn't for wimps). I may be able to shoot it Tuesday. If so, I'll post a range report.
