hey guys, I went into my local paycheck disposal site (gunstore) yesterday and they were just unboxing 3 sig P-6s and i asked to take a look at them. Well i picked the one in the best condition and said ill take it. He said ok, let me log it first and here is a manual that came with one of them. I got to looking at the manual and it was in German, and had a factory target folded up in it. I looked at the target and it was dated December 10 1983. It also had a serial number on it. I told him ill take which ever gun matches this serial number. It was one of the other 2 with a little more holster wear than i would like but, i have a sig with factory target proof and original manual with matching numbers.:D i'll have to take some pictures this weekend when i get a chance to. I cant wait to shoot it this weekend:)

All sigs are the BMW of the gun world imho, I love my only one (a 226 9mm) and in a couple days when the CT grips are on it I will love it even more.

Enjoy yours,

RFB

P.S. If you are not already, I recommend joining SIGforum, if you ever have any question regarding your SIG you will be amazed at the answers you get. Not that I don't love this place too. :)

"All"? I won't say how many Sig's I have (thankfully my wife doesn't have the combination to my gun safe), but I do have 3 BMW's. Since one of my Sigs is the Mosquito, I have to take issue with the "All".

I do have a P6 that I got from Military Gun Supply in Fort Worth. The slide has been re-blued, and it is a nice looking gun.

When you get your tax return, I recommend the Walther P-5.

By the way: God should be listed before guns. I'd also put the Fox News Channel before George W. Bush because of Bush's pushing for a Palestinian (sp?) State... Even Clinton didn't do that.

I've got a few Sigs and the P6 is one of my all time favorites. Super accurate and fits my hand perfectly.
I am thinking of maybe picking up another one!

They are single stack....8 round mag. only 1.3" wide, though. I was actually ready to buy a 239, and although I like the curved lines of the 239 better than the blocky p6/225....man, the PRICE!

Princi, No offense intended, but when I said all I was thinking the German engineering...

Since one of my Sigs is the Mosquito, I have to take issue with the "All".

but maybe the German engineering of the Mosquito could be considered the new 1 series BMW and not an Isetta and call it even? :)

RFB, great post - you are my hero. I guess the Sig 226 X5 = BMW Z8.

I forgot that the P6 has a single-stacked magazine. Although single-stacked guns fit my hand better what I really like is that the magazines are easier for me to load.

True Bush didn't sign any bans, but he did sign every spending bill that passed his desk. What really frosted me about Clinton was his giving missle guidance technology to the Chinese. Now they can shoot down our satellites.

the sig line i snagged from some other web site when i was about 2 sheets to the wind. Been meaning to change it but i dont think about it unless i see it. I hope i can go shoot it this weekend if the weather holds out. I love how slim the p-6 is. I was just compairing it to my Mak. and its about a 1/2 to 3/4 inch longer and that about it. It may not be high cap but i like slim pistols always have for some reason. Ill take some pics this weekend

Edit, for those of you who carry the P-6 what holsters do you use? Ive seen some but none i really like. Would love a comfort carry but right now i cant afford one.
