Another vote for lubricating when resizing with carbide - sure, you don't have to, but then again you don't have to make it a chore either. Even just lubing every 10th case through the die makes the whole batch go through easier.

Not trying to start an argument in any way, but genuinely curious - what is the "hassle" you experienced?
I load for a large and somewhat ecletic bunch of 9x19s. Sure, I could come up with a cast load that shot ok in a particular pistol, but not universally. I also don't remember the cost savings being that great. I use cast bullets in 10, 40, 357/38, 44, etc. Just not 9x19. I might reveulate with 358 coated bullets after I make it through the last 20k of my Precision Deltas

I tried my first to loads for 9x19 with the Penn 140gr RNFP with a cannelure sized at .3565"
Brass R-P
primer WSP
COL 1.053"
charge 6.3gr of Accurate #7
Low 1,013 fps
High 1,026 fps
AV 1,018 fps
ES 13.23
SD 4.79
X 8 rnds
These shot and functioned very well.
My other load was with WSF that I under charged, the slide would not lock back on the last round and the accuracy was poor.
Same as the 1st load but with 3.9gr of WSF.
Low 967.3
High 980.3
AV 974.4
ES 12.92
SD 4.47
X 8 rnds

That's the way I do it. Set 20 or 30 up in an ammo holder and spray lube. Set it up close to the main source of brass for the press, and use one of the lubed ones every tenth or twelth cycle.

joneb,
off thread but
I don't know what you are currently using for 9mm MAK bullets but I have some lubed lead MBC 9mm MAK RNs and would be happy to send you a sample if your interested.
They have them coated now but I stocked up a while back when they were running behind and did not offer coated yet. No issue in my MAK using them,
just find I am mostly shooting my other 9mms.

I have some samples of 9mm bullets I can send as well.
Samples will be PIFs (free)
PM me if your interested.

PS I really like WSF in 9mm.
