Another mount to consider, pretty much like the Sadlak and Smith Enterprise, is the Fulton Armory DMR mount. None of them are cheap, but why put something second-rate on a first-rate rifle.
They do shoot well just with irons, and maybe it wasn't originally designed to put optics on, but what rifle did the US Army choose for a dedicated, SCOPED, sniper platform from 1969 to 1988?
The M21, a semi-auto version of the M14. It's still in use today, although it is not the primary SWS (replaced by the M24, a Rem 700 in 7.65x51)
