Hello everyone .
I have recieved a beater Black Diamond, no rust on the outside of the barrel, a little pittng in the bore and 90% blueing gone. Front sight gone and no stock screws.
Well this past saturday decided too scrub the barrel, did this for about 3 hours, it was well fouled but little pitting.
I was surprised of that after seeing how badly fouled it was.
The blueing was gone from somthing being spilled on it as it looked .well after the barrel scrubbing i decided to test blue it with some old cold blue i had . worked out ok ,gun looks like a used gun now not beater.
I love projects like this more the challange.
This gun was given to me by a friend who said some kid was going to just throw it away:barf:
here are some after pics never took any before .
Hope this works..
Bill

I'm not a huge fan of inlines, but that youngster should a known better, and you did a very nice thing to rehab it. FOR CRYIN' OUT LOUD :banghead: we know there are folks out there who might like to learn to hunt, but can't afford a good gun like that, or are youngsters starting out..., and if a person don't want thier hunting gun then at least they could clean it up and give to somebody, or pass it on right away to somebody who will clean it up or rehab it just like Mr. Bill has done. Every newbie we get into any shooting sport is a good chance of one day casting a vote for our side, no? Bravo Mr. Bill! (Youth is often wasted on the young!) :fire:

Sorry, got torqued there..., I'm right up the road from Walter Reed Army Hosp and when I see stuff like that, or some fool who throws out a perfectly fishing rod, I think of them guys getting treated down there who would love something like that and a chance to use it!
