Pinned rear sight
Colt goodness
No markings on the barrel that I can see. Angle and lighting sucks or you could see that it has a NM float tube under those handguards.
Crap staking, but almost no wear at all on the bolt/carrier.
Here is the pic from the inside of the lower. It looks like the receiver was factory drilled with a happy switch hole but Colt put in a plug.
Bought it from the local store as a consignment rifle. They called the guy up and he said he bought it new as it sits and that it is a factory rifle. Said he never fired it. It looks pretty clean and everything shows minimal wear if any. That said, I'm not sold it came this way from the factory. It has standard pivot holes but the front pin is held on with a screw. The trigger pins are .170" and it looks to have a Colt Match Trigger. I was out the door under $1k so I don't think I did terrible. Could have been a bit better, but it looks to be either unfired, or very very minimally fired.
Been looking at getting either a DPMS or RRA NM rifle to play with as the local range has CMP matches to 600 yards. I figure with the pinned sight and everything with it I could sell it for $1k if I wanted back out. I hope it shoots.
This should go well with the Feinwerkbau 601 and Kimber 82 for sling work. Maybe a Palma rifle is next to reach out a little further. From 600 yards in though I should have all the practice I can handle.
