new toy on the way ....powder?

Just ordered a REM 700 sps tactical .223 20" 1-9 twist barrel I ordered some hornady vmax 55 gr and some hornady 68 gr bthp now I need to see what powder is the go to 223 powder I looked on my lee book and I saw varget and h322 which I have both on hand but is there a powder out there that is known as the powder for the cartridge. Also any other .223 tips or ideas you guys have are very appreciated thanks Jim

I like Acc 2230 and 2200 witch both of thees dos a very good job. The 2200 is a little cheaper but as good. GOOD LUCK

Ive read varget works for the heavier stuff is reloader 15 for the lighter stuff?

I use H335 for coyote loads and benchmark for prairie dogging. H335 is faster and a little less accurate and benchmark is cleaner and less temp sensitive. I have only used 50 grain bullets thus far.

H322, H335,H4895,Benchmark and my latest testing also very good CFE223, for almost certain accuracy in your rifle try Sierra 52gr match or Berger 52gr match.

I use Varget, BL(C)-2, and H322. I started with the BL(C)-2 and was very pleased with the groups. I did notice over several years that my Point of Impact would change with wide changes in temp. Not much, but just enough to be irritating. I use Varget in a 243 load and H322 in a 6mm PPC load. Since I had them on hand, I decided to experiment with them in my 223. I have not done as much shooting with these loads as the BL(c)-2 load, but they look to be very promising. I have used a variety of powders in the 6 PPC and the H322 does best, even with temp changes. I can't pick a favorite in the 223 yet.
