Just bought a S&W 1911 Railed used and noticed a wavy wearing pattern on it when I bought it. Haven't fired it just yet because this was just yesterday. The price was STUPID good and I knew that the "Lifetime Warranty" should cover any mechanical issues. The gun is stock and has an unknown round count. The gun is pictured with my TRP which doesn't have a wear pattern like this on the lugs.
Is this something I should be concerned about?
I got caught up with the really good price and didn't disassemble it prior to purchasing. I know the final word is determined on how it shoots, but this wear seems kind of strange. Is this the "Galling" that I hear about sometimes?
The slide is tighter than my others and I haven't seen anything like this before. Is this part of a tight guns break in, because my TRP and my two Colts don't look like this? The serial number range is JRH.
