Found this Article. I have ordered a box of the Platinum Tips to put up against the Partion Golds i currently have for my SuperRedhawk .44. Anxious to compare, but this seems to be some good info in this article.

I use the 180gr Win. PG .357 Mags as self defense ammo. I figure any concerns about overpenetration are more than made up for by the weight retention of the bullet and near certainty of reaching vitals given decent shot placement even at odd body angles or with limbs in the way.
