Or a bear. Very underappreciated cartridge.
Nice Brent, must be good woods over there. Now you need to use the ar to get a deer.
Did the partition pass through.
Walking in to where I.like to stand i was thinking it would be nice to have some whote camo today.
Problem solved.

I have a paper towel over my scope and an empty peanut M&M wraper over the end of the barrel.
We have close to four inches of snow on the ground and expected 12 to 16 inches total.

I have those on my 4-16 monarch, installed the leup 3 weeks before the season. I'm sending the monarch in for service.Need some tape over your muzzle. The scope caps pay for there selves on these days.
How's the snow down your way? We got 14" last night and are supposed to get another 4-8+ by tomorrow morn. Not going to be able to get to our spot ,most likely.I just put in some back strap on the oven, on a bed off onions. Sounds crude but always tastes good. I made that larger deer roast at my dads in the smoker it came out very good. Hope I can get out tomorrow or Wednesday.
We got like 3-4 of sleet last night, but over night no snow. It just started to snow at about 12 today. maybe 4-5 now. How's the snow down your way? We got 14" last night and are supposed to get another 4-8+ by tomorrow morn. Not going to be able to get to our spot ,most likely.

I'm hoping to MAYBE get out this coming weekend. I wasn't able to get out at all on Thanksgiving, Saturday or Sunday. The little one has been a fuss butt and keeping us up. She wouldn't go down untill 2 am on Saturday night.
Between loosing our main spot ,no tree stands, no scouting pre season due to a busy year, lack of action in the woods, a new kid and little sleep, and chasing a lost buck for 8hours, my hunting motivation is about zero at this point.
Hoping to exclusively handgun hunt next year and do alot more scouting pre season if time permits like we used to. Dad,brother and I are planning to hit the range once a week to practice with handguns to hone our skills.
Hopefully the main spot will be deemed a wild life management area by next season so we can hunt it again. Down side is no tree stands other than climber are allowed in WMU's.Got at least 12 here after freezing rain and sleet. It's still snowing here.
I remember the days of being up all night with the children. It does get better though.
Don't feel too bad about not scouting, I didn't to either. I completely missed fall turkey season due to working. That is usually when I do my scouting.
It has worked out pretty well so far though. The area of state land I hunt produced a decent spike horn in the same location that I've gotten 4 others. The patterns are similar on that land from year to year.
Is your main spot still open to you. I'm takingvit that you hunt with your father and brother. Maybe they could scout for you and set you in a good spot, or build a stand. I have done it for my brother.
It might help your motivation to choose a different firearm to get out with or get together with a few other hunters.
I'd like to do more Turkey hunting this year.
wish we could use a cap and ball revolver, I still want to get a colt walker. Don't think I will hunt bp this year, I don't have any bullets for my inline 50cal or the proper round ball for my 15ga smooth bore.
