Hi every one I am new to BP, I have a peitta 1858 .44 and 1858 .36 also 3 extra cylinders for each gun. I purchased them from cabelas. The wife and me went to the range on sunday, lots of fun, that first shoot, the sound and smoke put a smile on my face like a kid lighting his first fire cracker, every shot fired, I loaded the .44 with 25gr lubed wads & .454 balls, nothing on top #10 remington caps. The .36 17gr, lubed wads, nothing on top and #10 remington caps. I lubed the cylinder pins with canola oil right before we started shooting. the guns did great, fowling was less then I expected, I did wipe down the cylinder pins after 18 rounds and re lubed them with canola oil. The .44 shot a little low, an easy fix. I only shot the .36 the last 6 rounds and it is shooting low and to the right. I have been reading about trying different loads before using a file or any of the other fixes for windage, The wads for the .36 are a very tight fit, would the have a effect on poi. Thank You.
