Just to be clear, The '94 is not grand pa's rifle, but the one that he gave me on my 13th birthday. My dad still has Gramp's '94 (as well as his own that gramps gave him on his 13th b-day). Grandpa and I only went hunting for 4 seasons. He passed away shortly after our last hunting trip. My dad does not hunt and has not intention of hunting, but is pro 2a all the way. Dad is scarry accrrate with his '94. More so than a 30-30 has any right to be, but dosent like to hunt.
THe 7-08 is the way that I was leaning because I can scope it. Given my less than great vission, it would be nice.
