Newbie questions about loading .45 ACP

Check with Hodgdon they are the distributors for the winchester powders. I belive you ate looking at WST which is Winchester Super Target - I do not know what the WST3 refers to.

I'm recently bought a Kimber 1911 and want to start reloading .45 ACP for it. I'm looking around at powder choices and realise Unique and Bullseye are quite popular. I've got a supply of Green Dot and have found some loads for that.

Last weekend I ran some various 45acp loads over a chronograph. The loads with Missouri Bullets (200gr, #4-XD) and Green Dot were very consistent.

+1 for Green Dot. I find the burn rate/powder charge/recoil fairly close to W231/HP38 and recommend it when they are available.

Powder size is close to Bullseye and it meters well.
