Hello, I'm new to reloading and I'm about to reload my first bullets. I was wondering if someone would be willing to verify (do a "sanity" check) on my load data.

I have 9mm Luger 115gr Winchester FMJ round nose, flat bottom, bullets and Winchester 231 powder. My Lee Reloading manual 2nd edition shows a starting load of 4.3 grains and max of 4.8 grains. Am I reading the manual correctly? Does this correlate with data from the Hornady manual, or others?

Thanks in advance for your help!

The data is consistent with other data published, most of which add .2 or .3 grains to the maximum.

Here is a link to the pdf of the older 2002 Winchester data that they published in 2002 and you will see its very close for data using Winchester components.

I keep a file with all the reloading data documents I've downloaded from the various manufacturers over the years

Speer #13 shows 4.5 to 5.0 Grs of W-231 with a 115 Gr FMJ loaded at 1.135 O.A.L., so that seems inline to me. AC
