I like a side loading gate, I have a 336 marlin ,but I have a Henry .22 with the tube, and I made a little "speed loader" for it. I found some stainless tube the approriat size ,figured out how long I wanted it to be , plugged one end , ,and made a easly removible cap for the other end , pull out the follower ,pour the shells in put the follower back in and you are back in the game, probably quicker than I can type it all out.

My cell phone discombobulated my attempt at post #22.

I was wondering how many people any of you know who bought a Henry (new, not the original) because it was named "Henry"?

I still think I am the only person in the world who bought a Henry for the name. My grandson is named Henry and he will get his namesake .22 lever gun when he is ready. I don't understand the depth of emotion displayed by some over the company's name. If you like the guns, buy them. If you don't like the guns, buy something else. It seems pretty simple to me.

The single shot rifle has my interest. Lately I've been looking at the big boy in .357 and .44 and getting that itch.
I've said this before, I'll say it again. I refuse to buy a gun called the big boy. So this means I can wear long pants?

LOT's of folks make those tubes out of old aluminum arrows...

It is a pretty terrible name. But that's not exactly unheard of in firearms marketing. I'd personally be embarrassed to go into a gun shop and ask to see any gun with the word "tactical" in the name. I'd feel like a poser mall ninja.

The Winchester ultimate defender shotgun is ridiculous too.

That said, there aren't many manufacturers making us made leveraging these days. I may just have to suck it up and utter the stupid name.
