Nice Anti cartoon.

More ignorance and false stats. One can be honest and still defend a position.

Not worth the time to write the pinko's at the village voice, they'll just right you/me off as another "wacko". They are the liberal elite and must be correct, they know what's good for us all.

If we could just ban non-violent adults from buying firearms in a gun shop after a background check, those poor gullible youths living in the hood wouldn't shoot each other. WHEN WILL WE WAKE UP?!?!

One of my greatest curses is that I can laugh at anything funny, even if it is against something I stand for.

If there was humor there, I missed it.

I didn't know that leftists were OPENLY racist either, and that was the only part that even tried to tickle me.

The sadest thing is that there are people who live here that "got" this little pathetic attempt at political "humor".:scrutiny:

What's the difference between a Leftist and a communist?

A communist knows what he's doing. This is just more proof.

It was serious (and factually incorrect) or it was poorly done irony. Either way, it completely fails.

And you guys that are claiming it to be some sort of clever joke need to remember that this is the Village Voice, not the New Republic or the limbaugh fan club newsletter. The village referred to in their title is Greenwich Village, on the lower west side of manhattan. I lived mere blocks away and went to school in that neighborhood for years, and I am pretty confident that few here have any idea how left-leaning that place truly is. The population is about 60 percent homosexual and 60 percent starving artist, with considerable overlap between the two populations.

Their political views range between militant marxist revolutionary and namby-pampy vegan tree-hugger. Much like zombies, they are all the same type of undead- they merely move at different paces. Some shuffle around moaning while others run towards you, screaming and gnashing their teeth. The very idea that this could be anything but a straight-faced anti-gun cartoon is laughable. No one in that area has ever seen a gun in real life, let alone anyone on the Village Voice editorial staff.*

*unless they were mugged with one of NYC's 4 million illegally owned guns

Don't squeeze the Village Voice!

Meaningless drivel with no redeeming intellectual value what so ever.
Exactly. The creator of this so-called cartoon is obviously caught up in a tantrum of socialist rage.

As for the Village Voice, all this so-called newspaper is good for is a poor stand-in for Charmin.

The close-mindedness, ignorance and bitterness of the socialist/leftist/liberal/Democrat moonies truly knows no bounds...

Extremist politicians preaching a twisted interpretation of sacred texts...a floundering democracy that is subject to the whims of extremists.

Wow, both ver accurate statemenets, but only if applied to the anti's. WOnder if they get the irony?

ROTFL
This is my vote for best quote of the day!:D

Funny thing about the cartoon is that most what they described was either factually incorrect or perfectly described members of the Anti-Gun community.

This is what I wrote to the editor.
About "America the shootiful" If the cartoonist doesn't like America and freedom, he can leave for North Korea. The U.S. doesn't want people who don't like it living here. We'll take anyone who is competant, willing to work, and loves our country, otherwise we don't need you. If you don't like it LEAVE.

This is:

1] a testiment to the failure (or success depending on the point of view) of public education and govermedia propaganda.

2] a reminder of the kind of mentality and people we are up against. They actually believe in garabge like this. That is how far removed from reality they are. This type of anti-gun rhetoric is IDENTICAL in every way to the Muslim virgin-promising fanatacism which the cartoon hypocritically attacks.

Solution: Buy more guns and more ammo.
