kinda off topic.....however...

yes this may be somewhat off topic, however a long time ago I saw a perpetual motion machine, ie makeshift generator or electric motor of Stalin / Hitler (I think) of them rolling in their graves...I found it quite humorus and if anyone has it laying around on their computers I'd love to have it. PM me or just reply here. It's not anti gun but it was funny as hell and well done. Please let me know if it's out there.....I'm very curious to see it again.

thanks!

As for Guns in Anime

I'm sorry to say that I heard that 'Venture Bros' will not be continuing. I have a friend who watches it and loves it, I haven't caught an episode yet, but he told me it apparently won't be continuing.

As for the other gun flicks... Ghost in the Shell and GitS: Innocence were both good, as well as Appleseed. And for you guys who liked them, you should check out 'Wonderful Days', which I believe is being released in the U.S. as 'Sky Blue.' You'll like it. :)

Cowboy Bebop is my favorite anime, ever. It's a shame it's only one season, plus one movie, but I guess that makes my life easier. Oh, and Faye Valentine is my heroine. ;-)

As to Venture Brothers:

So...do we have a second season or what? Here's the thing about that: you don't just get a call one day saying "go...make a second season." It's a process. Interest is expressed, research is done, and ultimately a budget has to be met. So, if we dot all our i's, cross all our t's and get a budget and schedule together, we will be making a second season of The Venture Bros.. If we don't...well, then more discussing has to be done, more number crunching, etc. Everyone wants it, it's just not official until it's official, hence no official announcement. All that is what's happening now, and as I mentioned last time, things are looking good. I'm hoping to start writing very very soon (not that copious notes and discussion haven't taken place already) in order to stockpile a handful of scripts before actual production can start (so as not to fall into last year's lamentable position of being late all the time and never getting any sleep). From that point on, each episode spends something like 12 weeks or so in pre-production, followed by 14 weeks or so in Korea, followed by several weeks in post-production, so we probably won't even be seeing our first finished episode until mid-fall at least, with one coming every two weeks thereafter (if all goes according to schedule, that is--a schedule we've yet to make, mind you, because nothing's official yet). Obviously at this rate, Adult Swim couldn't start airing them until a little over half of them are done, lest the air dates catch up to and surpass our delivery dates. Such is animation--a very time-consuming process, on every end of it.

Looks like there will be more eps but it'll be awhile. Hopefully, they'll get a DVD set out.
