This afternoon my five year old and I went to pick up a pizza we had alittle time before it was ready so we went into a pawn\gun shop Id never been in. They had alot of guns but most were over priced I did see a nickle plated colt 1911a1 it was a older one that had seen some use for around $450.00. I didn't look at it too closely because my son wanted his pizza, but I have been thinking about it all evening it would make a match for my 1980 nickle Browning Hi-Power.
While I do have a colt comander I am no 1911 expert and I have never bought a gun from a pawn shop so three Questions.
1. How much do pawn shops usally go down on their prices.
2. What is a fair price for the gun.
3. Is there anything I should Know about older colt 1911s.
Thanks
