Does anyone know if there are replacement night sights out there for a Beretta 92? I'm talking about a standard 92, not a Brigadier. It seems to me that the front sight is not going any where, while the rear sight appears it can be removed. I was just wondering.

I bought a 96G upper for my 92, and it has night sights. I was hoping I could get night sights for my 92 slide.

Thanks

There are some kind of clunky designs out there that fit over the front sight, but IMO the only way to go is to send the slide to Trijicon for installation.

My 92F, I talian made, is in the safe. I would think any decent gunsmith could remove the front sight and reinstall whatever you want. I just did the site research thing and I have settled on the TruGlo TFO sights for my G23.

Yes - trijicon makes them - if U buy the package of night sights - U actually get a coupon w/ instructions. IT tells U who and how to contact in Trijicon. U send in the slide. They drill the front sight and put the tritium capsel in the slide. Then, they replace the rear sight.

Very easy to do.

The alternative would be to contact Trijicon directly - however, U can usually get a cheaper price if you "order" the sights (in this case, an empty package with just a coupon) yourself from whoeever you want to buy them from.

On a standard 92FS, the front sight is an integral part of the slide. The rear sight is a separate part that is dovetailed into the slide.

The cleanest way to install night sights is to have a gunsmith or night sight vendor drill the existing front sight and install a tritium tube. The rear is a simple replacement by drifting out the old sight and installing a new one that contains the tritium tubes.

See the FAQ page of Trijicons website (item 10 in the Night Sights section)
