Hey everyone I wanted some advice on a good scope for hunting hogs any ideas thanks

You have asked an extremely vague question in the sense that we know nothing of how you hunt, the environment you hunt in, etc. We don't know your budget (which may be critical).

Are you hunting over a feeder at (insert # here) distance?
Are you hunting in the forest or open fields. If in the fields are these well maintained/grazed, or rough/native fields?
Are you hunting day, evening, or night?
How much are you willing to spend?
What caliber are you shooting?
If not over a fixed distance feeder, what is your max expected distance and typical distance you expect to be shooting (be realistic here, LOL)

Nothing to add to this. Need to know.

As mentioned above, you haven't given enough information. Likely because you didn't know there are different technologies that have pro's and cons. You should do a little investigating on these three types:
Intensifier, Digital, and Thermal.
I have Digital, about to buy a thermal also.
Thermal won't see through glass but doesn't need an illuminator, Intensifier can be damaged by artificial light, digital can be glitchy and bulky.
Come back with the details requested above to narrow things down.

It was either ATN or a no-name brand. Glad you got one that works alright. The X-Sight II actually has a pretty good history of firmware issues, but extensive customer beta testing has taking care of many of them.

Ok sorry about not enough info
Using a 300 blackout.
Open fields have been cut for hay
Using for night and day
I would say max distance for my blackout would be between 100-300 yards and it will be over a fixed feeder .
I have priced the ATN and the sightmark
Just wanted to get some advice if anyone has used these two
Thanks

Which did you price, Digital or Thermal?

Ok, Atn makes both digital and thermal. The thermal is the Thor, the digital is the X-sight. Sightmark also makes both digital and thermal. Since you mentioned 4x5x20,
I think you are talking about the X-Sight 4k 5x20 HD.
So, if you have decided on digital, then yes, the X-Sight is a good choice at the lower end of price ranges, but good value.
The thing about digital is, they are a compromise in the daytime, the screen resolution is not as good as just using a normal scope, but they are easily paired with a tablet or other viewing screen that can add versatility and allow others to see what the scope is seeing.
At night, digital and intensifier scopes are only as good as the illuminator you use. The Xsight comes with a decent illuminator that is good for 100 to 150yds, if you plan to go 300yds at night, you need to plan on a couple hundred $ more for a Sniper Hog or other upgrade illuminator.

Thanks hugger that is what I thought I also looked at the sniper hog as well thanks for the advice and information it is very helpful

Sightmark does NOT make thermal optics at this time.

When making the comparison between ATN and Sightmark for digital night vision, I will say this, hands down, without a doubt, Sightmark's customer support beats the hell out of ATN. If you have something go wrong, the people at Sightmark will take good care of you.

I have spent some time in the field with my partner's Wraith HD and 4K. On a budget and hunting primarily hogs, get the HD 2x because it will give you a wider FOV and make it a bit easier to pick up runners. If primarily hunting coyotes, I would suggest the HD 4x as the coyotes tend to be much smaller than hogs. If you have a bit more money, the 4k is a 3x scope that will zoom in amazingly well and take care of you at your intended hunting distances and much farther. For night hunting, an upgraded IR illuminator will definitely extend the range beyond the illuminator that comes with it.

My partner has done several vids on the Wraith scopes...

And for impressiveness, check out this 4K video. If you knew your dope, you could be taking coyotes at 800+ yards with the Wraith 4k and getting it recorded. My partner tried a shot at 570 yards based on the dope provided by the ammo box and while he missed, it was awfully close given he didn't holdover enough and his dope wasn't experience-based. My point is, it was a doable shot with the optic after sundown.
