Just got a Ruger Blackhawk 41 mag and am getting the components to reload. But Lee doesn't make a 4 die set in 41 mag. Is there a reason for not including a FCD? Does it work well without a factory crimp?
Lee does sell a separate 41 mag factory crimp die. So you have the option. Brownell's sells them though they currently are out of stock. I use Lee 3 die set for 38/357 and seperate factory crimp die for magnum loads where I want the best crimp For 41 mag I use a Redding 3 die set. Pricey but cheaper than buying factory ammo and the 3 dies works just fine. I also use a Redding crimp die for 41 special (short case 41 mag) and with a the right touch works on 41 mag.Just got a Ruger Blackhawk 41 mag and am getting the components to reload. Everything works well without it, and if you want to crimp in a second step, buy a $12 Lee roll crimp die in .41 Mag.Does it work well without a factory crimp?
