No Airweight 9mm snub? Why?

There was a flurry of rumour on the SW forum awhile ago about a Bodyguard gun in Sc for 9mm. Never heard of it after that.

Also, I read somewhere that Lasermax might be going into competition with Crimson trace on J frame laser grips. I've looked at the shorter Crimson trace grips and they are hard.

The appeal of of a 9 would be cheap ammo and commonality - however, what would I do with all the 38 SPL I got!!

That is exactly why I would jump on a 942 instantly. Just wish they'd come from the factory ready to go.:(

I don't understand the "cheap 9mm ammo" statements. Around here, a box of 50 .38Spc is $2-3 cheaper than any box of 50 9mm's. May not be that way everywhere, but .38 is definitely the cheapest centerfire to practice with.

I've noticed that some brands of 9mm don't seem to work as well with moon clips as others do.
It seems there's quite a bit of variance in the extractor groove geometry from one manufacturer to another.

I've only used REM 115 +P HP and UMC 115 FMJ. The clips had to be closed up slightly to fit them. I don't know about any other. I figured if they wouldn't fit a name brand, there was a problem with the clips. I wrote Taurus and told them about the possible problem. They sent a couple of other packs of clips. Same problem.

I really don't mind the rounds fitting really tight. That way they wouldn't come loose if I were to drop the clip.
