No Lock Wheel Gun Options

Although not a .44 Magnum fan, I do have a few .41s around and they are basically the same gun. I love and have tons of pre-IL Smiths but I did buy one of the 4.2" Ruger Redhawks in .41 Magnum when they became available last year. Fit and finish are excellent and I also shot my best 50 yard double-action group ever with that gun.

Also have had a 4" GP100 for many years. Can't go wrong there either.

For S&W, the offending part is very easy to remove, so don't let a lock hold you back. Took the piece out of my 640 just yesterday while doing a little stoning. Presto, no lock.

I have a GP100 that I changed the grips and sights on. Looks and feels nice...

In fact I have two GP100's and I changed the sights and grips on both..

You can probably pick up a nice stainless S&W model 66 4" barrel in .357 for less than $500. Don't forget to look at Dan Wesson as well. They made excellent revolvers and you can change the barrels to suit your mood.
