9D4BC86C-1681-48CB-8B0C-FAA3356D2DE4.jpeg ...for a 30 Luger Interarms (Mauser) American Eagle Navy Luger straight grip. I bought this because the “kid in me” always wanted a “Parabellum.” Retirement $$$$ wouldn’t let me touch a P-08, so I opted for second best(?).

I always thought Cartridge Counter Lugers were the “cat’s meow,” but that rarity is even more pricey!

Being somewhat adept, I set out to make my own CC magazine...

Quickly discovered the magazine Steel is much too hard for milling the vertical slot...
Oh well, next best “faux” thing was to make my own modifications to a set of “store-bought” CC pre milled grips.

MS Word provided a close match RE: number style. I printed on aged paper. I fabricated 2 clear Lexan windows (1 thin to go over the paper insert and 1 thick to fill the grip slot.

Interarms Mauser’s are straight gripped (looks odd to me), so I took a piece of (again), this time very thick Lexan and profiled it to fill the space between the grip frame and the P-08 grip contour. Polished the inner/outer purfaces. Gloss Blue-Black enamel was painted on the inside profile, to approximate the look of blued steel, and attached to the off-side grip.

A lot of work you say, but hey, I’m retired! That and I like the look/feel of my faux CC Parabellum with the proper grip profile
