I'm thinking about visiting the gun show down at the Scope Arena this weekend to look for ammo and magazines. I was wondering what experiences people have had with gun shows in this area since I'm just visiting from Florida.

They are just like any other gun shows right now. Huge mark ups or price increases and not a whole lot different than just going to a gun shop. They can be fun, too, but personally, I don't like being in a huge crowd of people at all, but even more so unarmed. If you ask something a little more specific, I may be able to add a little more information.

The last couple I've been to in Richmond, the line was around the building to get in so I bailed. Can't stand the crowds and I usually find what I'm looking for at the local shop.

Norfolk gunshows=bummer

The hampton one is much much better, norfolk attracts way too many unsavory types for my taste. Besides with all the light rail construction why would you give your self the head ache of trying to deal with the traffic?

I give it a B minus, Hamton is better.
Scope has its own parking garage -so you gotta pay for parking and admission is $7.00
The ussual players on guns, jerkey, and jewelry, and junk.
Neihborhood aint the best.
If you choose to go I like sunday AM better than sat.
Dont expect any deals on ammo or mags

Thats a good point on the ammo and mags, but I'm also looking for AK furniture, front sight blocks, and gas tubes.
