Norinco Hunter - Galil Conversion

Has anyone attempted one of these conversions? I have been intrigued by the task but pinning down enough info to achieve this goal has been hard to come across.

It allows for someone to have a 7.62x39 Galil look-alike. I would really like to try one of these projects.

Anybody have some tidbits? I know there are some guys with many years of experience building guns on here. This is the gun you start with if anyone has never seen a Norinco Hunter.

Looks to me like the most involved part would be changing the gas block for a Galil (or Galil-style) one.

The most involved part is welding up the rear of the receiver to square it up.

After that, all else is a breeze.
