I stumbled upon a Norinco 77B the other day. For those of you not familiar with this model, here are pictures and explanations of it:

I noticed the front of the trigger guard doubles as a "cycling trigger" which enables the user to cycle the gun with one hand. I was just wondering if anyone has actually used one of these pistols or if there are any other gun manufactures/models that also have this same trigger guard "cycling trigger" feature. Thanks ahead of time.

IIRC there is a gun called the Lignose that did so. I want one of those Norincos, I've only ever seen one of them and an old review of them in either Handguns or Guns and Ammo.

Fish828, if you search around on Youtube a little bit, there's a guy from Canada who posted a couple of videos of himself shooting and examining a modified version of that pistol called the NP20.

As moonclip alluded to, there was a small .25 caliber pistol which featured the trigger guard slide activation. It was originally designed by an Austrian named Witold Chylewski, around 1912. Somewhere around 1919, he sold the idea to Theodor Bergmann, who in turn, sold production of a pistol of his design which used this unique feature. Production was undertaken by Lignose of Berlin, with pistols being made from 1920 to 1932. Other versions were made, some having the "Einhand" or one hand feature, while others had a solid trigger guard without the slide activating design.

thanks for the good information guys, I knew you would come through. i wanted to pick up that norinco when i saw it but it was way overpriced for what it was. i think it would be interesting to own a pistol with this design element.

The local pawn shop has a norinco 77b. I held the thing last saturday. Interesting pistol, the owner had never seen one either. He is asking about $175 for it if I remember correctly.

I have a couple other pistols in layaway, if it's still there may buy it just because of the coolness factor. Yeah you really can rack the slide with one finger.
