Hi everyone, I was wondering if a Norinco 99W SxS is a solid shotgun or not? I found one for $300 "great shape", is that a fair price? I think Norinco is Chinese but i don't know about their quality. What do you guys think.

My Pardner 12 guage pump is a chinese Norinco import. The quality is superb. The steel is strong and skillfully machined, the guns fit and finish is good and has never given me any trouble. A quick search should reveal this to be the consensus on the Norinco shotguns, but I personally have no experience with the model specified.

$300 is a good, decent price. New, you're looking at $330 or so.

Those are nice guns. Have two here in the house.

From your pic, that's Norinco's 12 ga. Coach gun(double barrel copy that Stage Coach drivers used to carry, just shorter barrels). I own 3 Norinco weapons a MAK90, SKS, and 9mm Tokerev pistol, all are of excellent quality. It's just too bad these weapons are still being manufactured but banned from sales in the states now. All it has done is drive their prices up. Not sure if Norinco still make any type of AK variant but they probably do.

I believe for in the same price range you could get a good condition Remington 870 or basically the a simiar shotgun made by Mossberg. Take the plug out and you have pump shotgun that will hold 7 rounds. Whatever yo main purpose these will serve you well. For home defense with 00 buckshot will probably remove limbs/head of the intruder quite easily.
