What make of m14 is better and why? polytech or norinco. feel free to post pictures and list experiences. I'm looking for facts and not oppinion, but feel free to state that too. maybe one of them isn't even better than another...

It's my experience that the quality of the Norinco and Poly Tech M14s are identical.

The Poly Tech usually has a better/smoother exterior finish, but that's strictly and aesthetic difference.

My favorite Chinese M14s are the heel stamped Poly Techs

What is a heel stamp? Does that just mean the markings are on the back of the reciever and why do you like that kind h20 man?

H20 Man, Thanks for posting that link.

I have never seen a double lug receiver before.

In picture 61, they show the receivers before and after they weld the front and read lugs on. Do you know if they do this step before of after the heart treatment process?

Wow... just finished looking through all of the pictures. GREAT link.

Norinco is an exporter if it were not for the current US law's they would just be imported with made in China on the receiver and polytech is a builder. Norinco (North China Industries Co.)

There is a company names POLY that imported some sks and Chinese firearms just like Century does.

All Chinese semi-auto M14 rifle receivers (Norinco & Poly Tech) were manufactured
at State Arsenal 356 in the Yunnan Province. Norinco was the export company.
