Has anyone been able to get to the site? It's been down for me for 2 days now, I've tried it from a few different internet sources, and it keeps giving me DNS errors, site not found.

Has anyone been able to get in?

Anyone know why it's down?


Sorry if this is off topic for THR, don't know if NES is considered competition.

I haven't been able to get on all weekend either. No idea what's up though. (came over here with the same idea of looking for information, though THR is a great site as well, of course).
 
I've been here before, and I agree 100%, but l enjoy discussing other subjects with like minded people in the Offtopic section over at NES. Not an option here. Maybe something that could be considered?
 
Funny, I came over here to ask exactly the same question. Haven't been able to get on northeastshooters for a couple of days now. Being in the middle of a group buy makes that a real PITA.
 
Going on day 4 without NES. I'm dying over here. By the way nice forum.

You would think that they would have a mass email list to alert all users as to what's up?
 
There's alot of folks that have paid memberships that will not be happy. The site itself was worth around 20k last I heard, not worth retiring over. Something's not right here!!
 
It's very possible that there was a huge computer problem with his host. I hope they didn't lose too much information, there was a lot of good stuff on that board. And I just got my NES stickers.
 
Derek is a damn good IT guy, along with being a former Marine, he has got to have plenty of redundancy built into his system, Marines are trained to think ahead, for good and especially bad, if he doesn't, he's a damn fool. Even if he had a catastrophic crash, he should be back up in 48 hrs. Just hope he's alright.
 
Just got word that it is a server problem and that Derek has been working to resolve the issue. Masscops.com is also on the same server and they have been down also. Northeast hopes to be up Asap.
 
yeah tried Masscops to see what they had to say and theyve been down also. Begin to wonder if the websites dont meet Mass AG compliance :)
 
Derek is good at running the show. Something sizable happened to close NES down. I hope it won't be for long. I'm having withdrawals myself.
 
yeah i was wondering the same thing i thought it was my firewall so i shut it down and have been messing with my computer thinking i did something to it lol.
 
Well, it appears ctguntalk.com is down too; from clicking on the above link.
 
Add me to the list of people with withdrawal symptons. Luckily, I'd noticed THR mentioned a couple of times so came over to check it out. Seems like a good site, although I am getting pretty jealous of all the people living in free states instead of MA.
 
Must be a pretty big issue. Even if you figure no one wanted to work on it on the weekend (even though I figure they jumped on it right away), it's been down close to 48 hours already. Very unusual for a website in my experience.
