Go for the glock
I used to carry a GLOCK 17 or 19 on duty. Since then I have switched to BERTTA 92's and 96's for home defense and target shooting as they are more accurate for me.
For off duty carry, I use a WALTHER P-99 as I prefer the feel of the grip.
Would I carry a GLOCK again. Without a minutes hesitation.
The GLOCK 19 is the finest gun for the money ever made. It is accurate enough, light, durable and as reliable as a handgun can get.
I shoot BERETTA'S, H&K'S, SIG'S and WALTHER'S. None are more reliable than the GLOCK, as light and all cost more.
I would take a GLOCK 19 over any 1911. They are simply more reliable in my experience.
