Not sure how much longer I can resist buying a Glock

Try to resist the impulse. I've had three Glocks. Nothing to write home about. Have you ever shot a well put together 1911? If you insist on a light double action only type pistol, try the Kahr. The Kahr is what the Glock should be, but isn't. Alternatively, if you must have high cap, the Springfield XD Pistol is an excellent choice. Much more ergonomic than the Glock, and every bit as reliable. Nothing wrong with a Glock, per se. They are usually reliable, but they are not very shootable for most people, compared to a 1911, Kahr or Springer XD. If you get a Glock, avoid the .40s, as they tend to blow up in people's faces.

Resist son, resist. Go to church on Sundays and after mass buy an old & rusty High Power or 1911 frame and pry over them, as punishment for bad thoughts.
