Love my AR 47s (no, not AK 47s). Have one carbine length complete BCA and one 7.5" with a BCA upper and a PSA lower. 7.62x39 is a great round.

Personally, I think they discontinued it because its a race to sell the cheapest to be made for the most profits. It's painfully obvious to me anyways.

Let's see:

New CZ offering: Extruded aluminum, no fancy wood with finishes, nitride or phosphate type finish
527: Steel, blued, wood stock

And the new offering is expected to sell at a higher cost, cha-ching!

Which one is going to have more margins? And they'll promote it as better than the past.

They discontinued being in business, because they failed to make a profit.

One has to analyze their P&L's, overhead costs (see upper management siphon of money), extreme increase in competition (all the new AR manufacturers), etc. to understand why they failed to make a profit. You are assuming their best seller was losing them money, I don't have the insider information to suggest that. At the same time I'm in the same boat as to my reasoning behind CZ discontinuing their 527, but something tells me I'm correct with my above post.

The cost of everything in the world is going up at an alarming pace, you can't keep making the same product with higher expenses and maintain your profit margin without also increasing the price. At a certain point the market will not tolerate that price when there is competition and you have to figure out a way to cut expense. Cost cutting is not always about greed, sometimes its a simple fight for survival. If they had thought they could continue to sell the same thing at a higher price maybe they would have done so, and perhaps they could have, but you have to place your bets sometimes.

I found a Radical arms AR 15 in 7.62x39. for 500.00. I wonder if my plated bullet loads would operate it? I loaded them with 9 grains of unique.
I do not know much about AR'S. I don't want an AK because of no scope rail/mount.
