I been out of circulation for a while on 1911's. I have a Ceiner 22 kit for GI 1911. Other than Colt, Rock Island, and Thompson (auto0Odinance) that are made nowdays, which are 1911 GI compatable? Is S&W 1911, Remington 1911, or Taurus 1911?? Thanks in advance...... Rick

It will probably depend more on the individual gun than anything inherent with a particular brand. My Ciener worked great on a Kimber frame, so-so on a Springfield and not at all on a RIA frame.

Yeah, I haven't kept up to know which are compatable. Back in the day I knew all of them, but nowdays there are so many variants which are named 1911, I don't even know where to start.

The ones that I know are NOT compatible are those with a ramped barrel. I have a Para that won't take it. But my Kimber runs it fine. I would expect any of the GI style guns from STI, Ruger, Remington, etc to take it just fine, but I have found that a lot of the time they can be tight and need some break-in with the Ciener slide.
