The ACT mag that comes with it works fine in mine, as do the chip mccormick shooting stars and Dan Wessons and Colts I've tried. Works with everything.

If you haven't bought any I'd get some cheap Chip McCormicks. Usually $15 or less per copy.

I have two of the 8 round Chip McCormick Shooting Star magazines. They both work fine. CDNN has them on sale right now for $15 with a free shipping incentive.

Assuming you have a fullsize .45acp singlestack...
(these brands all make Officer mags, too in case you have a CS 45)

Brands I use in my Armscor .45acp 1911s:
ACT-mag (comes in the box, actually not a bad mag for casual use)
Metalform (my cheap range mags, I test these with HP and flat-nose rounds, they work)
Wilson (my carry mags, I test these with HP and flat-nose rounds, they work)
Mec-Gar (they make a decent 10x mag for a range toy, too, HP/flat works)
CMC (I've actually stopped buying these, after a few quit locking the slide open WAY too soon and a few had the followers jump the feedlips - maybe I got a bad lot# or something)

===

Armscor makes theyr guns to run with standard mags. Variation in gun tolerances may or may not cause a gun to work better/worse with any given mag. Variations in mag tolerances can do the same.
I'd buy a variety, figure out what you like and what your actual needs are, and then buy a bunch of those, as well as some inexpensive basic mags for range-only.

If other brand magazines work well with your pistol, I would definitely contact Chip McCormick customer service about your CMC magazines - http://www.cmcmags.com/FAQ2.html#anchor_100
The Power Mag and Power Mag+ series Magazines, have a 3 Year warranty against manufacturer defects. Additionally, CMC will support these magazines for the life of the magazine. Meaning that though the "Warranty" period is 3 years, we will evaluate and service these mags on a case by case basis, after the warranty period, for the life of the magazine. (At CMC's sole discretion.)

A friend bought a RIA Tactical same time I bought my Sig 1911 TacPac and we both have about 7000+ rounds shot through them. While factory magazines worked well, most of the rounds were shot through stainless CMC 8 round Power Mags and blackened stainless Power Mags. They have performed well and we have not experienced any failure to lock the slide open with either pistols. One magazine was dropped on the concrete floor of the range and bent one of the feed lips slightly and affected feeding. After I bent the feed lip back to original position, it has been working reliably.

A friend of mine bought a RIA 1911, I gave him some mags I'd gotten from Springfield when I bought a GI model. He said they wouldn't work in his gun, not locking in.

Shooting my RIA Government today, I had a CMC mag that would not hold the slide open on the last shot. My other CMC's and a variety of other makes have given me no problems.
