I've got a friend ;), who has exceeded the maximum amount of firearms coverage on his State Farm homeowners insurance. He can get more coverage at a price of $1.54/100 but he has to itemize his firearms for the policy (including serial numbers.) He's searched this forum and read John Ross' item on getting a policy with replacement cost contents all risks. He's not real interested in changing his homeowners insurance at this time.

He's looking into the ArmsCare Plus insurance that the NRA offers. It's a wee bit more expensive than the State Farm offering but does not require registration, err I mean itemization of firearms under $1500 and while those over $1500 have to be scheduled on the policy, no serial number is required.

Has anyone had any experience with this insurance? Anyone had to make a claim and if so what was your experience? I'll pass the data on to my friend. ;)

Thanks,

Abe
