They do this pretty much every time an election year is coming up. There will more than likely be more offers as well if history repeats itself. Even though the mailer doesn't show it you can also sign your kids up for Junior life for the $300 cost too, and specify you want the kids magazine. This saves you a couple hundred bucks on Junior life if you don't want to upgrade your own.

To aswere the question about what you get besides a good looking jacket.

After what happened today in Virginia the folks at the Brady Center and the anti gunners in congress will be aiming squarely at our gun rights again. Remember when arguing with an anti gun zealot, and I already have today. The number of dead is so high today due to firearms prohibitions. Had a licensed individual been able to carry on that college campus this mad man could have been stopped much earlier in the day.
