NRA Phone Calls

Starting last Sunday, started recieivng calls from (703)-653 -0026. its the NRA via a group called "Strategic Fundraising", and when they called the first time, I asked them not to call, as I was ON MY WAY to visit my dad who was just hospitalized. They have called back no less than 3 times a day....every day...since. I have simply ignored their calls, but its getting frustrating. My dad is not doing well, and I work an overnight shift. When my phone rings at 3 PM, I want a status update on Dad, not the NRA begging for more money, which I would have already donated had I had it to spare. I tried calling the number back, and it asks me to enter my 10 digit phone numer. Imeddiately after I do so, I recieve a "busy" signal....and my number obviously doesn't get removed fromtheir list. I WANT to be a NRA supporter, but these phone calls are annoying to the point I want to cancel my emmebrship. Maybe if the circumstances were different, I'd have more patience, but being woeken up multiple times expecting an update on an ailing parent, and realizing its the NRA, is getting old. Hopw do I eleimiante these calls without cutting ties with the group completely?

Nevermind...found "Strategic Fundraising"'s website, which also had a "do not call" option. I also emailed them stating I was unhappy with being contacted 3x a day after vocalizing that I didn't want to be called upon getting the very first phone call, and I forewarded my complaint regarding Straegic Fundraising directly to the NRA as well. I WILL NOT donate to a group that resorts to harassment to raise funds. I believe in the NRA, but will not be donating to this campaign, or any other that uses such tactics.

That does sound frustrating. But it looks like you're getting it worked out. If this doesn't get resolved, I'd call member services at 1-877-NRA-2000 and let them know that you'll be dropping if this group contacts you again. I'm sure they'll work it out for you.
