NY State gun laws & Supreme Court

Since I reside in NY state, for me to obtain firearm requires to get a permit from the county I live in, I heard it takes almost a year to get one, and I need to get people to vouch for me etc..., for me when I moved to NY State from Florida this was an absurd I had to leave all my handguns with my brother. So now I'm reading an article that Supreme Court said the "Second Amendment gives all Americans a right to keep and bear arms for self-defense that can't be infringed by state and local laws"

does this means I can bring my guns without obtaining permits for them and buy new ones as well without getting a permit?

few more years shooting long range rifles and I will forget how to shoot handguns
good thing I don't need permit for rifles or shotguns where I live... I know people in NYC can't get them without proper permit...

I don't live there, but I understand Mass. is another state that is very frugal with their giving out licenses, then to top it off, something like a MANDATORY 10-year Prison Sentence for ANYTHING related to a gun!

I don't have either, all my stuff is locked away with my parents. I can't justify spending un-godly amounts of money on a permit for rifles and another separate permit for pistols and still not be able to carry. I'm biding my time while the economy improves and build up my resume and pay before I high tail it out of this dump.

Best advice is to leave NY as soon as possible. The state is on the verge of financial collapse. Taxes are out of control and the legislature just voted to increase them. Carry permits are hard to get and awarded at the whim of officials. NY still has the AWB in place. I guess they think a legal owner is going to rob a convenience store with a bayonet.

Last year I think lawful owner of gun permit shot like 20+ people in Binghamton, don't know how he got such permit, but in his notes he wrote that police been watching him and stole money from him while he was asleep...

Needing to have four chumps sign and have notarized a form attesting to your 'good moral character' is a joke. I really hope the whole licensing process is thrown the hell out.
