NYC campaign against all guns

Unless you are licensed, possession of an air pistol is always a violation of NYCAC. In addition, many stores sell authentic-looking toy guns, possession of which may well be illegal. I would not recommend that parents buy any toy guns for their children.

Look what was in another section of that ask the DA website, thats some crazy stuff.

I just saw one Guns=Prison sign when I was

riding the subway today. On the F Line from Coney Island to Jamaica Queens. The F line, the N line, and the IRT 4, 5, 6, and 1, 2, 3 seems to have all the putrid posters defacing the train interiors.

No matter how Bloomberg tries to ban guns and promote celebrity filth and materialism, he can't win...........Not when young and fiery people like me have joined the NRA.

Just yesterday at work, I convinced two of my colleagues to join the NRA. I told them how to sign up and where to go and everything about activism and most importantly: THE PRESERVATION OF FREEDOM.

Oh yeah, speaking of calling, I am drafting a letter at this minute, addressing the CCC of their mistake, and another one addressed to the NRA informing them of the goings-on in NYC. I am not the only one offended by these billboards. In fact, I am so offended that I had to change cars during my subway ride to avoid looking at it. I can stand sitting next to vagrants at night who are often drunk beyond comprehension and have vomited all over themselves, I just cannot stand to sit in front of a billboard that is advertising a false and hurtful claim. I CAN'T!!!!!!!!! I WILL NOT STAND THERE AND LET THINGS GO ON AS IT IS!!!!!!!

I suggest a simple sticker

you can go to a print shop/ copy shop
like kinko's and have stickers made up.
place a "gun control is racist" sticker on the posters.

With all the gun laws in NYC, why in the world would a citizen need a gun. It's the safest place in America.

In regards to this "mandatory" sentencing of 3 and 1/2 years in prison and the Brooklyn DA'S office 90% conviction rate..

I have arrested recidivist felons with charges ranging from assault 3, robbery, etc. in addition to CPW charges and have seen the Brooklyn DA's "convict" B and C felonies down to misdemeanor charges with the offender sentenced to 96 days in jail. In one of my cases, I had a guy beat the tar out of his old lady and search incidental to arrest revealed a loaded Taurus 9mm with one in the pipe and a Rohm revolver. Both weapons came back stolen out of two different states. Real bad ass criminal, with a record that predates the damn computer records. ADA fresh out of law school shakey as hell ended up pleading the case out to 30 days...for ALL the charges. Tada..90% conviction rate.

Law abiding Joe Schmoe with a secure job who carries for personal protection will pay the maximum price for this..mark my words.

I was quite shocked in regards to a few other things

I looked around nyc for some gun ranges, and the one I found in brooklyn has a website. In it part of the range's regulations it says you MUST have a nyc pistol permit to use their facilities... :fire:

Do I have to go to another state to get in some range time?

Now I will fess up, I voted for bloomberg his first term. If you saw the other choices available to us you would understand why... :(

There is no such a thing as a republican in nyc, none whatsoever irregardless of bloomberg's party registration. They are all socialist in one way or another. If its not one thing than its another.

IMO if someone tried to run as a republican, libertarian they would probably be laughed out of the city. This is the city and state that voted in hillary and schumer at a more than 70% rate!

There's also a woman in ny state who ran on strictly an anti-gun platform and was elected...

Unfortunately, even the mere handling of a legally obtained firearm by someone who is not licensed to do so by the NYPD can be construed as Criminal Poss. of a Weapon. If you have already applied for your NYC Pistol License, contact the license division and get a pre licensing exemption. It's basically a letter you can bring to the range and apply for membership (remember you HAVE to belong to a range to possess a pistol license) that states you are in the process of obtaining your license. Then, if you handle a weapon its all legal. Shoot to your hearts content.

However, I think a poster PROMOTING guns is in order. I'll see if I can work something up.

How about, in response to the "JAIL" poster, one that says "LIFE" or "LIBERTY", also with the L as a semi-auto pistol?

The posters are being displayed on space donated by corporate partners, including 1,000 Verizon phone kiosks, 500 posters for restaurants, clubs and bars, 50 backlit illuminated posters, 50 outdoor display panels and 1,500 bus interior ads.

Sure makes me happy I got my company to move away from Verizon this year!

The range does not offer rentals.. How does that help? Dont you need a permit just to purchase a gun from the store?

(remember you HAVE to belong to a range to possess a pistol license)
not true in new york city. in the past there was a "target" permit as well as premise permit which allowed possesion for range shooting but is no longer on the books. There is only the Premise permit now which allows for possesion in one's home and allows for transport (locked in case sans ammo) to from range

Mayor Bloomberg is a fascist. I lived in NYC for 33 years and was the victim of crime several times ( armed robbery) while going to and from work. The NYC gun ban only serves to disarm those (like me) that do not break the law. By the way were you aware that mayor Bloomberg is the owner of Bloomberg financial. So if any of you have bonds or IRAs with Bloomberg financial you are unwittingly lining the pockets of a VERY real threat to our firearm ownership.Just a heads up.
