$1000 dollars for the now discontinued OD Glock 19's.

Who would have thought the ugly stepchild of Glock would become an almost overnight collectors item. Seems crazy to me.

Here's one to watch http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=217677647

Now, I've been wanting one, but at no more than the typical $500 for a new G19.

I wonder if Glock will ever re-release the OD, at least in the most popular models? That possibility seems likely to me and then all these OD Glock are a waste of $500 dollars?

Is it a good collectors move or typical gun buyer panic?

The only Glock I could see being a "collector", would be the first G17 off the line back in the 80's. Even that might be pushing it...

As much as I love Glocks, they will never be a "collectors item" to me...

Doesn't matter if a gun won't be a collectors item to an individual. The market dictates a collectors item.

By the way, I just picked up a new Glock 29 in OD green last night. OD green is only available from what's already out in circulation.

I had a chance to buy a brand new 19 in OD green about a month ago or so from a local gun shop. I passed on it.:cuss:
