A Grudging Review of the Glock 19

No need to start bashing Glocks or their owners by insinuating that only ignorant people use Glocks.

Triggered much (pun intended!) ?

So the sentence should have been "sold it once I learned of better options for ME".

The number one for me was being able to have a manual safety for condition one...which I never felt comfortable with in the Glock.

That aside, I also realized that I liked non polymer/hammer fired pistols much more.

Indeed, that is a much less caustic and insulting way to get your point across.

To me, Glock = Honda Civic of firearms. It's not fancy, but it works. Personally, I prefer other firearms. Give me a CZ or an M&P or a good old Security Six. That being said, Glock is better than nothing - and better than many other firearms on the market. Just not MY cup of tea, but I understand why others would like them because of their reliability and after market support.

My 1st Glock is G20. I like the way is shoots but hated the Gen 3 grip so I had some reshaping and stippling done by Taran Tactical. Wow, what a huge difference that was so I found myself going down the rabbit hole adding a 357Sig bbl, Zev trigger night sights, 2-tome cerakote, etc (I still have it). Later, I bought a 32C in 357sig but the recoil and blast from the compensated barrel was nuts so I sold it. My 3rd Glock is a G42 for carry. Can't say I love it but it works. Not as accurate as the Kahr P380. Problem with the Kahr was it's absolutely crappy reliability so I dumped it.

I have a Glock 19 Gen 4 and it’s a great gun. Plenty accurate and handles recoil well. I have small hands and prefer the Glock 19 to the Glock 17.
