Hey guys! I am wondering where I can purchase a set of Uberti made, factory OEM nipples for my Cimarron (Uberti made) 1851 Navy Colt.
Let's just say the first set I had which came on the gun worked really well with Remington #10 caps... but they were damaged by a gunsmithing accident. Not by me though!
I have since tried Slix Shot nipples, and believe it or not they actually don't work well for me. I do not notice any decrease in cap fragmentation, and for whatever reason it seems I get a light strike on one chamber every time, yes I am using Remington #10 caps like the Slix Shot people say and am making sure they are fully seated. I am just not pleased with these nipples and want a set of the old OEM ones, but cannot find a source.
Like I said, my Uberti factory nipples worked really nicely with #10 Remington caps, and I'd like to have a set of them again as I have quite a few of said caps in storage. I have also heard Ampco makes a good nipple but am unsure of what cap to use on them or where to buy them.
