MSRP: $2,995
Dealer invoice: $2,280
Ends the speculation about a $4000 gun or a $3000 upper.
That's still a stiff price IMHO...maybe HK is pulling a Bushmaster and getting a little too ambitious. I know they make high-quality stuff, just look at their handguns. However, while expensive, their handguns are not priced outrageously IMO. I seriously doubt the MR556 is worth the cost of a Robinson XCR (which has more of the latest "adaptable rifle" features) AND a Colt 6920 M4-type carbine (a good standard AR). The HK416 is a proven design and the MR556 should thus be a solid product. However, is it worth the huge premium in your opinion over other piston ARs?
