Well, the thread title kinda says it all. I've put almost 14,000 rounds thru my Glock 17, and I love the thing, only 3 ammo related malfunctions that whole time.

However, here's the results of my latest range trip.

CZ-75B, Glock 17, XD-SC: All at 7 yards, 15 rounds each target

The XD-sub compact is a 3 inch gun that I've only put 600 rounds thru, and already I'm better with it than I am with the Glock!

^ yeah, I love my CZ too. For nightstand and glovebox duty, it bumps the glock into the safe most of the time. With a CZ the bullets just seem to go pretty much where I want them to.

A small part of me wants to sell/trade my G17 towards a Springfield XD-5 inch Tactical or an XDm 4.5 incher that I know I'll shoot better, but then good sense takes over and I realize that I still shoot my Glock17 "well enough" and the damn thing is DEAD NUTS reliable.

I just can't trade away a gun that's been essentially perfect for almost 14,000 rounds. And it was the 2nd pistol that I bought, goes back to 2004, a lot of guns have come and gone since then...but the Glock remains. It will continue.

I have found that the sub compacts like the XD or the 26/27 shoot as well or better than the full sized guns. Maybe a short, stiff barrel, not sure.

Good shooting though...
