Early Friday morning a Dayton man (an Ohio CCW license holder) defended himself against two would be robbers, shooting one of them several times with his Glock 23. Police caught up with possible suspects at a local hospital.

Definitely one for the good guys! :D

The Dayton Daily News is reporting that the victim had a "Dayton Firearms Owner's Identification Card" and a "Montgomery County Concealed Carry Card". I will assume they mean an Ohio Concealed Handgun license, but what the heck is a Dayton Firearms Owner's Identification Card? Are they making this up? I've never heard of this before.

OFCC's website is reporting this one too, and it seems favorable for the victim.

City of Dayton has it's own registration set-up, ostensibly so police know if a firearm is on premises if they go to a residence. Like the criminal is gonna register

Thanks Bubba, that makes perfect sense (in a stupid kind of way :barf: ) I can imagine how the anti gun folks that thought that one up really thought they accomplished something.
For those of us that live around Dayton, it seems that there is a shooting every other day or so. They must be real busy issuing those cards.
